I am in love with a man who happens to be a professor of mine.?

I actually have some experience with this subject. First of all, it's probably not wise to explore this with your professor until AFTER you have finished his cl. Also, what is your major? If this is an elective cl and he is not a professor in your genre, you should be okay; however, if you major in the subject that he teaches (same department) or you plan on taking another of his cles, that clouds the picture. Of course, you and this professor could have a discreet relationship even if you are his student, but that is always very risky. Lastly, as far as appearing too young, I wouldn't worry about that too much. How old are you and how old does he appear? I am not at all trying to be inappropriate, but for a lot of "older" men in positions of "authority," the young looking, but mature girls are often the most attractive / appealing. I am not suggesting some deviant, prepubescent ual fantasy, but more of a power exchange (hence, the possible reason for his perceived condescension / patronization).
