Need information on Yahoo Messenger.?

You know how the kids have AIM to talk back and forth on their computers? Is there something out there for adults? I'm not looking for personals, just talking to other people from my generation! When I go to Yahoo Messenger it describes "voice", and I don't have that on my computer. Any ideas?
