Is there any value to Encyclopedia that is 60 years old?

Not really, the info is outdated and they are bulky. You can probably unload them to a crafter on www.freecycle.com. You can glue books together and make end tables, lamps, etc, or use the pictures for collage or decoupage projects, or you can shred the paper up to make your own decorative paper...all this to say, as an encyclopedia they are useless but they can be repurposed.
