Horse Trailer Registration in GA?

I just bought a horse trailer and the guy I bought it from says you don't need to register it. I looked at the ga web sight and it did say no tag required if going from farm to farm if its under 3,000 lbs and it is for agricultural use. I was wondering if this is so and if i do need to register it what I would need to do that? I have no titel for it.
