Please identify this bird?

I am in Orange County, New York, about an hour and change out of the city in a suburban/agricultural area. The bird in question runs around the field like a Robin. The female looks like a Hermit Thrush or a Wood Thrush, with a brown back and white chest with speckled black spots running to the wings. The male is significantly redder on the back, but I wouldn't consider it bright red. It is more of a burnt orange. It's no where near as red as a scarlet tanger, and not the same color you'd see with a purple finch. Any ideas?

So kinda complicated but... I have my period the first week of september, got 3 pills into my pack and I had to stop due to a emergency trip out of town, so I started my period again on the 11th. So if I base it off the period after the 3 pills I am 1 week late. I have been sick at about the same time of day, no matter what I do with an exception of 2 days within the last week and a half, sometimes again at night, Im tired all the time, but have also been under a lot of stress. I went to the doctor and my test was negative, I also found out I had a bacterial infection as well. The doctor told me she could not give me a positive yes or no as to if I was preg or not, and I should come back in 2 weeks!! my mom thinks I am preg, my are more sensitive, and I can see dark veins running to them, also my are swelling up a little bit in the area on the side closest to my armpits, I have no bloating or cramping, but my lower abdomen feels a little less squishy then usual, Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? If im not preg what are my options of whats wrong?? I have never been pregnant but I know something is going on with my body... and I would just like to know if anyone has been through anything simmilar, my mom had negative preg test when she was preg untill about 31/2 months(although it was 30 years ago and tests were different) but my friend said she had a negative test untill she was 4 months along, and she is about to give birth anyday now!!!

I actually have some experience with this subject. First of all, it's probably not wise to explore this with your professor until AFTER you have finished his cl. Also, what is your major? If this is an elective cl and he is not a professor in your genre, you should be okay; however, if you major in the subject that he teaches (same department) or you plan on taking another of his cles, that clouds the picture. Of course, you and this professor could have a discreet relationship even if you are his student, but that is always very risky. Lastly, as far as appearing too young, I wouldn't worry about that too much. How old are you and how old does he appear? I am not at all trying to be inappropriate, but for a lot of "older" men in positions of "authority," the young looking, but mature girls are often the most attractive / appealing. I am downright angry with High School musical and all of the other Disney Channel junk that our children are exposed to every single day. Heck, if my boy were ever to watch that, its off to military school for him - same thing for my two daughters, who get crewcuts every couple of weeks, and boy do them girls cry when the neighbors see them in the chair on my porch. Well this is my big idea...Military School Musical. Doesn't that just sound great. Not really, the info is outdated and they are bulky. You can probably unload them to a crafter on www.freecycle.com. You can glue books together and make end tables, lamps, etc, or use the pictures for collage or decoupage projects, or you can shred the paper up to make your own decorative paper...all this to say, as an encyclopedia they are useless but they can be repurposed.

Help! painful ulcers from oral thrush?

I am on diflucan one every 3 days for 9 days and the first two didnt help the oral thrush - probably because I was on Bactrim. SO they prescribed me mycelex lozenges yesterday to suck on 5 times a day for ten days. My mouth still hurts really bad- my tongue has ulcers all over it making it hard and painful to eat or talk. My question is is there any topical pain reliever I can use for this? and what things can I eat that will be easy to swallow besides yogurt? ANyone been through this? I will take any advice at all. Hysterectomy with childbirth is only done when there are problems due to bleeding or cancer etc. It is riskier due to the increased blood in the area from pregnancy. Usually someone who has had 4 children as yourself has an enlarged uterus even when you are not pregnant and a laprascopic procedure normally would not be an option. You possibly may be able to have it done lly a few months after delivery when your uterus has returned to a more normal size. That is what I had. Your recovery is much shorter and pain is minimal after the first day or so. If your endometriosis is so severe that your doctor feels you are at risk for bleeding post partum, possibly you could have a C/Sect and hysterectomy performed. Keep your ovary if it isn't affected by the endometriosis if you can. I have one of mine and hormonally I'm doing pretty good. None of us know your full history so be sure to ask your doctor until you are satisfied and fully under the answers. Good luck.

Can the iPad Replace a Laptop?

I'm very stuck between what to do. Between a Sony Vaio laptop or the Apple iPad 2, im not sure which to get. If i had either one, i would basically use it for web-surfing, email, and typing doents. I know the iPad sounds like the perfect choice but it just seems wrong to spend the same amount of money to get an iPad when i can get a laptop. It would have to be the iPad 32 gb and the important accessories like the keyboard dock, smart cover, and having to get an AirPrint printer so that i may print doents off the iPad. Bottom line is it would be around $850-900. But, for around $950, i could get a 17" Sony Vaio laptop with a high capacity battery, a 500gb hard drive, and all the basic stuff like microsoft word and Norton anti virus. And i don't need to buy a special wireless printer for it like i have to do with the iPad. Now many would say that i should get the iPad because of the ultra portability and because i would only use it for basic things, however Apple comes out with a new version of their product usually once every year which means that within a few years the iPad 2 would become obsolete. Sorry for how long it was but i really need other people's opinions.

My 14 mth old son is getting his 1 yr molars and is super uncomfy. Would love some ideas to help him please :)?

When my son was getting his front top/bottom teeth he had some moments during the night where he was uncomfy but these molars are kicking his poor little bum bum. I feel so bad for him :( he was up for a long time last night we gave him tyenol, teething tablets and orajel which releived him for a little bit. He had a temp of 101.6 but dropped a little after the tyenol. My husband would snuggle with him on the couch and give him his comfort that he needs (I would but laying on he couch is very uncomfortable for me right now 28 weeks preggers and huge already, but I sit on the floor with them and caress his hair an soothe him until he falls asleep, all babies need their mommies comfort) . I went to the store and bought Infant Ibprofen and that seems to help a lot more. But he doesn't have a appetite or is thirsty and extremely irritable, which I understand. I've been giving him diluted powerade (doctor's office suggest that if he isn't drinking much or throws up which he did last night too). Is there any other things we can do to comfort him? Or just hang in there and give him our love and comfort until this tooth pops out completely? Thank you so much!!

Natural black hair must be altered to more closely resemble that of other races to be considered "professional" every shampoo commercial shows a white man or woman or any one who may have naturally straight hair. OMG !!!!..3 days been working on it !..I have a New Magnavox DVD player DP100MW8B(lost manual).I am trying to hook it to my Craigs list 9yr old Philips AV Receiver FR965 (I have manual, but no remote yet)..all works Beautiful except the Digital out Coax connection from DVD player to the Digital in Coax 1 connection on back of receiver is connected, i just got video and no sound..wheres my 5.1 ?..and yes I can get simulated surround using the red and white patch cords using the VCR plug in on receiver..all is great but no 5.1..I called Magnavox..they said you dont have to turn on Coax out in the set up menu, it just happens when connected, then I called Phillips and they said that receiver is no longer in their system, umm, Good Luck HA !!..OMG ! HELP !!!!

Chrysler Town and Country just stops, any ideas on possible cause?

Van was having issues getting into gear (out of Park into Drive or Reverse) so I took it in for transmission service to the dealer. Trans oil and transmission filter were changed. I was told that I needed some additional maintenance, they ended up doing (1) Throttle body service to clean Carbon and Fuel additive deposits, (2) Combustion chamber service, and (3) reprogram controller with latest calibration -- flash trans controller. Not sure if the controller flash is something to do with the transmission maintenance that they did or not. At any rate, the transmission issues in which the car would hesitate getting out of Park is fixed but now, every so often while doing low-speed driving, the car just stops. It is running along and then it just stops. No check engine light or hesitation, it just stops. Today, it started, then it stopped, then it started it a few more times and it would stop, all in a row, back-to-back. Once the accelerator was fully pressed, while in Park, it finally stayed on. The stops while driving along have happened four times in the last three weeks after the trip to the dealer. Any ideas?

I hate to be the one to bring you the bad news, but, pounds and rescues will not have the dog you are looking for. I would look for a malinois, depending on your experience, and I would look for a dog with solid nerves, a clear head, stable and with a ton of drive. Most dogs like that are expensive and cannot be found at a shelter. I import my dogs from Europe because I have a hard time finding what I want locally. I also train for detection and patrol and I understand the requirements need. Good luck in your search.

My sister and I are not close, she is lazy (not to be mean, but she is 24 and has never worked a day in her life). Her hubby is 31 and does tattooingg on the side for cash, he also gets disability from the state of CA where he lived. He still gets it ($600/mo) and also works full time at $9/hr at a job in NY. My parents still live in VT. My sister who is now 4 mos pg, applied for WIC and food stamps as a couple in VT and used my parents address. It is easier they said to get it in VT, but they live in NY! They got approved for WIC and also get $495/mo in food stamps for the two of them. I think this is unfair for them to be able to get all this help when they are not reporting their income or their correct state of residence. To top it off, her husband got in a fender bender a few months back and said it hurt his back (honestly he had the same back pain prior to the accident which is why he is on disabilty!) and they won the lawsuit and at the end of this month they will be getting $66,450 which they are not going to report. It bothers me so much, since at Christmas dinner yesterday my parents who are struggling for their bills my sister owes them almost $10,000 (they paid all her bills, rent, car, insurnance for over 2 years) and she goes over to our father and says, "when we get our lawsuit, we are going to let you BORROW $800 for fuel". WTF! Borrow??? I was so mad I ended up saying, "Borrow?? You OWE them more than that!". Anyway, should I let them get away with this, or let someone know?

Dual core vs single core...?

What's the deal with dual core? I mean, what are it's advantages verses single core? A guy from work tried telling me it makes the processor twice as fast as it's stated GHz (2.2 = 4.4) but I don't think thats right... I have a 2.16 GHz core 2 duo in my MacBook and it's just slightly faster encoding a movie file than my father-in-laws 2.6 GHz single core Dell desktop so it can't be "twice" as fast. And if you have time, what's the deal with quad core? And if you have more time (sorry for so many questions), what about dual processors (dual & quad)-what exactly does that do? I've been trying to talk my father-in-law into replacing his 3 desktops (2 Windows XP's and 1 Windows 98) with 1 Mac Pro (dual quad core)... I'm no computer genius but I'm thinking it's very fast. My Landlord states that i need to keep my bedroom door open in order for the room to get cool. there is an air conditioning vent over the bed.
